Since 1980

Prior to establishing Christopher William Legal, Mark Madafferi’s career commenced in 1980 with the legal firm F. G. Astuto & Associates in Moonee Ponds.

In 1989 Cosimo Chiodo and Mark Madafferi established Chiodo Madafferi Solicitors in North Melbourne which operated up until 2017, after which Christopher William Legal was formed.

Principal

Mark Madafferi

Mark is a graduate of Monash University and was admitted to practice in 1980.
He commenced his legal career with the firm F. G. Astuto & Associates in
Moonee Ponds.

In 1989 Mark and Cosimo Chiodo established Chiodo Madafferi Solicitors in
North Melbourne. Initially practising in the areas of Workers Compensation,
Common Law, Litigation, Criminal Law, Family Law and Conveyancing, the
firm soon expanded into practice areas including Commercial and Civil
Litigation along with Business Restructuring (including Insolvencies).

In 2018, Mark went on to establish Christopher William Legal.

The focus of Christopher William Legal has been and will continue to be in the areas of Commercial Law, Property Law and capital raising for small and
emerging businesses.

Bronwyn Goddard

Bronwyn has a wealth of legal experience as both litigator and commercial adviser. She is a second-generation lawyer who followed her father into legal practice initially at the firm of Goddard Elliot base in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. In 1999, Bronwyn joined a boutique commercial legal practice based in Melbourne CBD and has since worked in the city and in South Melbourne.

Bronwyn appears regularly as an advocate for her clients in various Courts and Tribunals across Victoria. She is equally at home in boardrooms negotiating the finer points of a deal or drafting commercial agreements. Bronwyn is a practical thinker who always keeps her clients’ best commercial and legal interests in mind.

Bronwyn’s main areas of practise are commercial litigation, general commercial and property advice including structuring and asset protection. Bronwyn has also developed an expertise in relation to estate planning and the administration of deceased estates.

Bronwyn is an Honours Graduate of Monash University.

Associate

Daniel Ku

Daniel is a hard-working, energetic, passionate and dedicated solicitor.
Prior to joining Christopher William Legal, Daniel spent almost 6 years working
for a boutique law firm in the Southeast of Melbourne, starting as a casual
Legal Assistant whilst studying, working his way up to becoming a junior lawyer
in another boutique law firm situated in Mordialloc for one year and four
months.

During those seven and a half years of industry experience, Daniel gained a lot
of practical experience in conveyancing, wills, administration of deceased
estates and small claims in the Magistrates’ Court for breach of contract and
debt recovery.

Since joining Christopher William Legal in September 2021, Daniel has taken
charge of all conveyancing and property related matters, wills & estates, sale
and purchase of businesses and has been working closely with our senior
solicitors in the fields of litigation to further broaden his horizons.
In less than 12 months at the firm Daniel has become such a valued member of
the firm that he has been promoted into the role of Associate.

Daniel completed Advanced Diploma of Legal Practice at RMIT, graduated with
First-Class Honours at Victoria University and completed Graduate Diploma of
Legal Practice at Leo Cussen Centre for Law.

Paralegal

Symone Jenkinson

Symone is a dedicated and conscientious Paralegal with a strong drive to
become a highly successful solicitor in the coming years.
She joined Christopher William Legal in June of 2022 with a vast wealth of
legal experience, having spent over 9 years as a Legal Receptionist, Legal
Secretary, Executive Assistant and Paralegal.

Much of this experience was fostered in firms in Symone’s native home of
Queensland. She has knowledge in the fields of conveyancing, wills & estates,
professional indemnity, commercial law, personal injury and compensation,
litigation, crime and family law.

Symone moved to Melbourne in 2020 and after working at a very prestigious
CBD firm, joins Christopher William Legal as an experienced Paralegal, largely
assisting our senior lawyers on their most complex matters in order to help
fast track becoming a lawyer.

Since joining Christopher William Legal, Symone has completed her Bachelor
of Law and is in the process of completing her Practical Legal Training at the
College of Law to join the ranks as a solicitor with Christopher William Legal.
